Shirley,
I have no info about Rosa Jane Cissell, but I'll check with some other Cissell researchers to see if they know about her.
Will report back with any results.

David, I too am looking for Cissels that lived in Kentucky. My 2nd Great grandmother was Rosa Jane Cissell born 22 Dec. 1822 in Kentucky and died 26 Dec. 1889 in HOdgenville, KY, She was married to my 2nd Great grandfather James Monza Middleton who was born 26 Jun 1819 in Kentucky and died 26 Dec. 1889 in Hodgenville, KY they are both buried in Middle creek Cemetery in Hodgenville, KY. I do not know who her parents are, but am surmising that Leticia Cissell was her mother, by going through census and weeding out families but don't know for sure who she was married to, I believe it was a J. H.. Leticia was born 7 Oct 1806 and is buried in Middle Creek Cemetery also. Rosa Jane and James named a daughter Lettitia also. Have you ever ran into any of those names?
Shirley

I am looking for information, hopefully documented, for the following early
Maryland citizens and visitors.
1. Thomas Cecil b. 1578, Stamford, England, d. 1662 Stamford, England. His

information I have on John: Catholic, Arrived 1658 in Maryland, He was a
gunsmith and a planter, he served as an appraiser in 1676 and 1685. I need
documentation.
3. William Cecil/Cissell, son of John Cecil/Cissell and Mary Calvert. He was
b. 1665, Prince Georges, Maryland , d. July 1749 Frederick Maryland. He
married Mary Katherine Joyner in 1690. He had his three children John,
Phillip and Susan bound to a Duvall upon the death of his wife.
Is there any more information on Williams and is any of it documented?
4. John Cecil/ Cissell son of William Cecil/Cissell and Mary Katherine
Joyner. He was b. Dec. 1691 in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George's County,
Maryland and d. Jan. 1759 in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George's County,
Maryland. He married Elizabeth Sollers in 1718 in Cecil County, Maryland.
I have 8 children including Samuel W. Cecil who was a patriot in the
American Revolution. Is there any other information available for John and
Elizabeth and is there documentation?
Any information will be highly appreciated. My wife who is the Cecil
descendant is trying to join the National Association of the Daughters of
the American Colonist.

I can go back all of the way to the 1100s, and even to the 1000s, but I don't rely too heavily on the information I've found in the 1000s. I'm just looking to connect with family so that I can pass along this information to Peter and his family.

Hello kimmers721, some of your friend relatives are in my family but I am not sure how they fit in the lineage without some birth and death dates, places and names of any siblings that the elder Cissells may have had. If you can get this info I would be happy to help.
