Is there any dates that we can go on?
I did find a Bernard 1759-1833 of Perry Co. Missouri, father of Joseph who also lived in Perry Co. Missouri between 1792-1880

I know that my grandpa either moved to when he was young, or had been born in or around the Bluffton, Alberta area. The brothers and sister I know he had are; Don, Gordon, Paul, Len, Bernard and Helen. I might be missing someone.

Hi Eric, nice to hear from you.
I think I will need a little more information about your grandfather (Joe) or great-grandfather (Bernard) to figure out how they connect to the Kentucky Cissells.
The branch of the family I am descended from settled in the area near Ponoka. The so called "Dakota Cemetery" was located on their property there and many of them are buried there.
Does your family have any connections with the Cissells from Ponoka? If so, please let me know and I will help out.
Dave Cissell

My name is Eric Cissell and I am 18, I live in Crossfield, Alberta, Canada. My father is Robert Cissell, his father, Joe Cissell, his father Bernard Cissell. That is all I know of my history really. I just wanted to know where the family had immigrated from. I know that we have relatives in Kentucky in the USA, but I do not know any of their names.
