MRS. HARDEN A BRIDE
Daughter of Mrs. Cissel is Wedded to Thomas P. Bones, of This City
The wedding room, as it is coming to be called, at the Shoreham was put to use again yesterday afternoon, when at 5 o’clock the Reverend W. H. Wedderspoon, Pastor of Foundry Methodist Episcopal Church, united in marriage Mrs. Eloise Cissel Harden, daughter of Mrs. S. Sewall Cissel, and Thomas Philip Bones, who is a partner of Harry Wardman, the realty operator.
Mrs. Clarence Dodge attended the bride as matron of honor while Mr. Dodge was best man. The services were brief and there was only a small company present, among them several of the members of Mr. Wardman’s offices.
The former Mrs. Harden’s parents are old residents of Georgetown, and descendants of George Washington Cissel. Mr. Bones is well known in social and financial circles. The engagement was announced a short time ago, and the romance dates back to 15 months ago when Mr. Bones met Mrs. Harden.
Following the ceremony there was an informal reception. The bride and groom slipped away amid a shower of rice about 6 o’clock. They will spend their honeymoon in New York and Atlantic City. On their return to Washington they will be at home in an apartment in East Wardham Courts.
The bride wore a gown of pink crepe de chine and georgette crepe white fox furs and a lilac trimmed hat and carried orchids and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Dodge wore a lace gown and picture hat and carried sweet peas.
