Tell me more about Samuel Tilden Cissell. My Great Grandfather was
Washington Tilden Robinson, and his wife, Lillian Melville Graves descends
from Mary Jane Cissell of St. Mary's Co., MD. b. 1833, she being the daughter
of John Cissell b. 1805, he the son of John Cissell b.1757, Rev. War Vet.
I've never been able to find the Tilden connection, but perhaps this is it.

S250-L is a list that looks to compare similarly sounding names to the
C250 and S250 and Z250 soundex codes.
We have found many transliterations of our respective names, and wish to
be able to compare notes and possibly break some roadblocks.
Please, at your choice, invite your Cissell/Cecil list members to
participate.

If the AOL experience is so wonderful, how come their LOGO is a picture
of a hurricane in the Bermuda Triangle?
Numerous internet sources state that Mary Doyne (ca. 1706-) was the wife
of Arthur Cissell (ca. 1690-1737) and the mother of his children. Arthur
was the son of William and Elizabeth (possibly Bullock) Cissell, and Mary
was the daughter of Ethelbert and Jane (Sanders) Doyne. The problem is
that there is documentary evidence that this Mary Doyne was the wife of
Roger Smith. What then is the documentary basis that Mary was previously
married to Arthur Cissell?
Sincerely,
