Subject: Cissells
Hi. I also have Cissells in my lineage who lived in Union County Kentucky.
My Cissells were William whose mother was Cecelia. Taken from 1870 Census. I
don't know anything else.
The reason for me investigating this is because Lewis and Mary were servants
in this house in 1870, I suspect they were slaves before this time period.
Those are my ancestors.
If you have any other information regarding William and Cecelia lineage
please e-mail me. I plan to do more looking in tax records and the like
about
who or what William owned in 1860 and earlier. Thanks.
I have this incomplete info on a Hughes Cissell connection: (Maybe Betty
Yocum has more.)

Hello,
I am new to researching my family tree on the
Internet. And am having a lot of fun doing it!! But
could use some advice...
Do any of you have family tree software to recommend?
I suppose that I'd like something this lets me enter
information easily, lets me import GEDCOMs easily. It
may have to hold a fair amount of information as I've
already found some lines that go quite far back. I'm
hoping it will be easy to import someone else's tree
and connect it to mine. And I'm hoping that it can
print easily on 8 1/2 paper!!!
Thanks for this.
On to my Cissell connection.
4 generations back, (my great-great grandparents) I am
descended from James H.L. Winchell and Elizabeth
Hughes (1822-1904). Elizabeth Hughes parents are
listed on my charts as Hughes and Cissell. This is
all the information that I have.
Elizabeth Hughes, her in-laws and husband, are all
buried in the Tobinsport, IN Baptist cemetary.
I'd be appreciative if anyone has any connection to
Elizabeth Hughes!!
Thanks.
