Hi! I hope you're still "out there." I just stumbled across your message. You seem to know a lot about all of these families and I'm hoping you can help me. Let me explain.
My great-grandmother was Elizabeth Theresa Cissell (b. 1847 in St. Mary's County, MD). She was the daughter of John B. Cissell (b. circa 1805 in St. Mary's) and Mary Ann Wheeler.
Apparently, John B. Cissell was the son of Thomas D. Cissell who died in St. Mary's County in 1840. (NOTE that this Thomas was NOT the Thomas G. or H. Cissell who died in St. Mary's in 1831 leaving, among other children, a son Peregrine Cissell.)
Do you have any idea how my Thomas D. Cissell (d. 1840) fits into the larger St. Mary's County Cissell family? Any info. would really be appreciated. By the way, I'm also a descendant of William Boarman and Sarah Linle--a couple of ways. Talk to you soon, I hope. John Dobricky
