Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

EMILY ROMAN
NEW BRITAIN - Mrs. Emily Cichowski Roman of 242 Oakland Ave., died Tuesday night at New. Britain General Hospital.
Born in Poland, she was a resident of this city since 1928 and was former proprietor of a grocery store on Albany Avenue and Smith Street. Mrs. Roman was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Polish National Alliance, Group 2093.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sophie Welna; two sons, Walenty Roman and Henry Roman; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Tajmajer, all of New Britain; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Satuday at 8:15 a.m. at Borawski-Duksa Funeral Home, 32 Burritt St., and at 9 in Holy Cross Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

NEW.BRITAIN - Walenty Cichowski, 83 of 506 Farmington Avc. died Monday at New Britain General Hospital.
A native of Poland, he lived in this city 70 years and was a retired employe of the Stanley Works and a member of Holy Cross Church, the Pulaski Democratic Club and Polish National Alliance, Group 2093.
He leaves five sons, John Cichowski of New Britain. Val Cichowski of Greenwich, R.I., Felix Cichowski of Arlington, N.J.. Frank Cichowski of Berlin and Henry Cichowski of Southington; a daughter, Mrs. Michael Byczynski of Washington D.C.; two sisters. Mrs. Pauline Tajmajer and Mrs. Emily Roman, both of this city; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. and at 9 in Holy Cross Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
