CICHOWSKI, BEN.
Ben Cichowski, 68, of 1122 Wisner, died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. Born Dec. 19, 1896 in Poland, he was a member of St. George's Catholic Church and the Brothers of Kosciuszko. He leaves his wife, Frances; five sons and one daughter, Benjamin, Casimir, John and Mary Cichowski, all of Saginaw; Chester, Ellensburg, Wash; Marvin, Port Arthur, Tex; 14 grandchildren. Services will take place at 8:30 am Monday (See Obituary Column).

Passed away at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lingering illness. Age 68 years. He was born Dec. 19, 1896, in Poland, and came to the United States in 1912. He married Frances Sienkiewicz here April 29, 1918. She survives him. He was a member of St. George's Catholic Church, and the Brothers of Kosciuszko. He was employed as a molder at the Saginaw Foundry. Surviving, besides his widow, are five sons and one daughter, Benjamin, Casimir, John and Mary Cichowski, all of Saginaw; Chester Cichowski, Ellensburg, Wash.; Marvin Cichowski, Port Arthur, Tex.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Waier Funeral home, 1218 No. Michigan Ave., 9 a.m. at St. George's Church. Rev. Fr. Bruno Kaczmarczyk will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Saturday, where they will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sunday to say the Rosary.
