Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
The R.MADRID v BARCA is on as I write.
The list has begun to swell with new members.
The Rootsweb service does not allow attachments and screens all emails
against viruses. So you are not going to get one, and if someone unwittingly
sends an email containing a virus, the Rootsweb stops it.
Messages that members of the list send to each other do not have that
protection. So, take care.
The weather here in Scotland has been warm today, suitable for the first day
of May.
The list name CIAPPESONI was chosen because it is the spelling with the
greatest numbers. My wife's family spell with two <P> and two <S>.
There are CIAPESSONI and CIAPESONI, and one instance of CHAPPESONI (a typist
creation?)
Are there other variations?
Please do not hesitate to pose questions, or give opinions, or simply
exchange comments on life in your country. That is the purpose of this list,
and genealogy as well of course!
Happy listing!
Chris Baughan and Ann Ciappessoni.
