Mike,
I'd be interested in how your information on Levi's parents
and grandparents compares with that posted on Boyd Trees on RootsWeb's WorldConnect board. Beware there is some bogus
info out there. See my reply to sandra in this chain.

Hi Sandra,
Pleasant Loftis and Elizabeth Russell were the parents of the Susan Loftis that married Leroy Boyd and then Malicajah
B. Pyron.
I'm one of the Texas people researching the Levi Boyd lineage. I've been at it for over ten years now, and have
added my research to Boyd Trees on Rootsweb World Connect
project. Our Levi was born in 1789 in Burke Co., NC, married Nancy Brewer in Christian Co. KY in 1816 and moved down to
the Columbus, Mississippi area in time to be counted on the 1820 census there. His brother, Josiah Boyd listed all the siblings in his bible, which gave me the birthdates you will
see posted on Boyd Trees. Josiah and his wife left KY and
moved to Missouri with her parents, after Levi moved to MS.
The dates were listed in an issue of The Boyd Journal, which
I copied at the Library of Congress a few years back. There
was another pamphlet that was printed up for a sesquicentennial celebration in Missouri that has a lot of mis-information in it. Those are the only two publications
I've seen that mention our Levi's family. If you find something else, please let me know. Also, I'm interested in
any corrections or additions to the part of the Boyd Trees posting that pertains to your family. Genereally speaking
I do not include anyone in the posting who was not born
by 1920, for privacy reasons.
Marie

I am in the Tyler area! The info I have was put together appx 20 years ago by another relative of Levi and Nancy. It will take a day or two for me to e-mail the info. I will probably e-mail to miketx875 and the subject shall be "Levi Boyd". After viewing, If you wish, I will mail a hard copy to you via the postal service.
Will also pursue info regarding th "Boyd" book. Am anxious to receive your info on Levi Boyd. And in hopes my info may bring you something new in your endeavors.
TGIF & have a wonderful one//////Sandra Boyd

Sandra,
Would love to take a look at what you have on the Loftis/Boyd family line. I am afraid I have very limited info on Nancy J and no ancestor info for her.
I am at work at the moment, but when I get home tonight, I will look up anything I have on Levi Boyd and send it your way, if you let me know where I should e-mail it to. I have "some" info on Levi's father and his Boyd grandparents. Am still hunting for ancestors and siblings there.
I am in touch with a few folks here in the Dallas area who I have discovered are "cousins". There is a huge written history on our Boyds out there that I am trying to track down. At best it will be the answer to all our questions and at worst it will at least point us in the right direction. ;-)
Will be in touch. ~Mike

Is additional information available such as dates of birth (or death) for Thomas and his children and his grandchildren. I know some people researching Tenn. lines but it is hard to find connections without some placement in time. Also were all generations born in Tenn. I could search Tenn. census records with more information.
