The Churchill Y-DNA Project is seeking Churchills World Wide who are
interested in participating in DNA testing. Only males can test. Women
can participate by identifying males who will test.
To date those who have tested fall in one of two Y-DNA signature groups.
One of the groups is positively identified as the ancient English
Oxfordshire Churchill family. English Oxfordshire Churchills originated
circa 14th Century in the County of Oxfordshire. The origin of the
second Haplotype is not known.
We invite all Churchills seeking their roots to test. Those who have
paper genealogies are particularly welcome. All who test will learn
their Haplotype and their Haplogroup. A Haplotype is your surnames
unique DNA signature. A Haplogroup is the ancient population group from
which your earliest ancestor originated. To date those who have tested
are in either Haplogroup I1a (the so called Viking group) or Haplogroup
R-1b (originated in Europe after the last glacial maximum 10-12 thousand
years ago).
Personal results of testing are private.
I will be happy to answer questions. Contact me off list.
Our testing company is DNA Heritage of Dorset, England.

Good Day,
I am in search of information on the Arthur J. Churchill and his wife Edith Emily Bubb Churchill family.
In the 1920 and 1930 census they had two daughters Mary E. and Alice M. Churchill. Arthur per census was born in Ohio in 1885 and Emily was born abt 1889 and in Ohio as well. In the 1920 and 1930 census they were living in Green Creek, Sandusky County, Ohio area.
ANYTHING on this family would be of great help.
Thank you.
Kindly
