Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.

Suzanne Clement,
Sorry, I can't be of great help. "Churchill Family in America" (CFA) has
the following families living in Waupaca, Wisconsin. It is possible - maybe
likely - that the individuals you mention would be descendants of one of the
families but without checking local records one could not say.
I would suggest that you check local records in the various places listed
for the individuals below. By the way, if you get a match or are able to
determine the identity of your individuals, please let me know. I would
very much appreciate the information. If they belong to any of the families
below, I can give you their family line back to the 17th century.
Best Regards,
Bill Churchill

I am seeking information about William CHURCHILL, J.E. CHURCHILL, and J.B
CHURCHILL. They are buried in the Marion, Waupaca, Wisconsin cemtery. J.
E. and J.B. are husband and wife, I believe, because they are on the same
tombstone and the only date on the headstone is 1899, so I think they both
died that year. There is no birth date on the headstone for either
one. William I believe died later, in 1905 and was in the GAR, as an
artificer.
Along with them is Vinnie May STRONG, nee CHURCHILL. She was born in
1867, died in 1945. She was married to Bert R. STRONG. I am not sure if
they lived in Marion, or in Eland or Wittenberg, Shawano, WI when they
died. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it.

Hi all,
A fellow researcher from the Dorset list has put together a website based on
the 1901 census. At present it has three pages but the tips and tricks page
is well worth a look. He has some great ideas for helping to smooth the
research process.
