Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Anyone interested in Charles Churchill from Weybridge around 1860s/70s and
daughter Alice who married into my family - Granville Erskine Money in 1875?
For those who do not have access to the "Churchill Family in
America," there's an inexpensive CD-ROM-based digital
edition available in whole or in part through the following
web site:

An error that must be taken into consideration when using Churchill & Churchill:
The Churchill Genealogy (page 25-26) is in error concerning Sarah(7) Churchill.
Sarah, b. 1739, daughter of Stephen and Hannah (Barnes) Churchill. She died 13
Aug. 1740 (as did her twin sister Marcy). She did not live to grow up and marry
6 Dec. 1764 Nathaniel Carver (24 Sep. 1740-1 May 1815). When Stephen Churchill
died, his wife Hannah was appointed guardian to their children and no daughter
Sarah was listed among them. See the Plymouth Probate Records 12:513-515. The
children surviving were Stephen, Zaddock and Hannah: no second Sarah. The date
of Sarah's (and her twin sister's) death can be found in the Plymouth Vital
Records, page 130. I am a descendant of Nathaniel Carver and his wife Sarah
Churchill. A gravestone on Burial Hill in Plymouth gives his Sarah's death date
as 12 Aug. 1808 at the age of 64 which makes her date of birth sometime in 1744,
not 1739. This mistake in the Churchill's book led to the Historian General of
the General Society of Mayflower Descendants rejecting my believed lineage back
to Mayflower passengers William Brewster and Richard Warren (as well as the
Bartletts) through a proven Carver line which depended on Nathaniel Carver
marrying Sarah, daughter of Stephen and Hannah (Barnes) Churchill, Stephen
Churchill being the link to Brewster and Warren.
I have yet to determine the true parents of my real Sarah Churchill (1744-12
Aug.1808). No other Sarah Churchill in the Churchill book has this set of dates.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help me solve this riddle even if
the line does not go back to the Mayflower (I've already got seven of them).

For most of the audience, you already have access to or copies of the detail
that you wish from the Churchill Family in America book by Gardner Asaph
Churchill. I have recently acquired a copy and am willing to provide copies
or detail or information for those who do not.
A note of helpfulness, however. Please do not ask for me to lookup Mary,
for example, as there are probably 100 of them. Additional detail is
necessary to limit the search like a husband's name; children's names, etc.
and location.
Thanks.
