My Grandfather was John P Wolff, I never knew he was adopted and that his real name was Church! Mary Ann Jostock was my great grandmother, she lived in Detroit. John married Alberta (Weiner) He was a Berkley Michigan Police Officer and and the acting Chief for a time. John and Alberta had 9 children; John, Barbara, Fred, Ron, Donna (my mother), Lynda, Norm, Gary, and Randy (all are now deceased except Ron, Lynda, and Gary) , They were also foster parents to some 200 needy children over the years, and had too many grandchildren and grandchildren to count! They lived on Eaton in Berkley. John passed away in 1980 (or '81) and is interned next to Alberta in Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley in the Wolff family plot.
