Thank You. I don't totally understand this or how to get a hold some someone in the group. I know there were two Olivers, 1 born 1756 and 1 born 1773, neither one related that I have ever seen but they may be as my Oliver born 1773 lived with Johnathan Mills Church and family while they lived in Ontario Canada. Unfortunately the Census at the time didn't ask what their relationship was. And the two families living under the same roof just because they share the same last name doesn't make sense to me but I have seen the tree for Oliver born 1756 who descends from Richard and Ann(??) Church and no where does he fit into the family. Some people you will notice have dropped my Oliver into the shoes of your Oliver more because of convenience than for Genealogy sake. They figure just because he has the same name he must be the same person even though other than the same name nothing about the two matches.
How do I contact the people on that chart?
Regards
Jim

Jim, have you seen the page at http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/church/results
?
There are two entries under haplogroup R1b, lineage IV. They have codes C-31 and C-34. C-31 has the 1773 Oliver m. Margaret Pangborn as putative ancestor. C-34 mentions an Anthony Church b 1761 Rhode Island. (I don't know if the group administrator is still in contact with the people who submitted those results.)
(not my Oliver but I remain interested in identifying all the Upper Canada Olivers. as you've suggested it might, turns out that my own DNA indicates some kind of match with the Lt. Oliver Church b 1756, although it's got more variances than the other lineages listed for haplogroup I2a. I may need to have a more definitive test done.)
best,
paul c
