Forest W. Church, 51, of Clinton, Missouri, died unexpectedly, Sunday morning, April 17, 2011 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, in Clinton.
He was born May 15, 1959 in Windsor, Mo., the son of Clarence Wilbur Church and Sarah Adaline (Funk) Church. He married Becky Nichols and she survives of the home.
Forest was employed as a machinist with Schultz Tractor and Machine Service in Clinton. He was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church, Calhoun, Mo., and was also a member of the Clinton Sunrise Optimist Club. He graduated from Calhoun High School, and had attended College of the Ozarks in Hollister, Missouri. Forest was very active with the 4-H clubs where he was a shooting sports instructor. He also volunteered with the Missouri Department of Conservation, helping with the Hunter Safety courses. When time permitted, Forest loved to hunt and fish, or do anything outdoors.
In addition to his wife Becky, survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth A. Church and Sarah Marie Church, both of Clinton, Mo.; two brothers, Dale E. Church and his wife Sharon and Charles Church, all of Clinton, Mo.; three sisters, Barbara A. West, Springfield, Mo.; Helen Sell and her husband Dwight, Calhoun, Mo.; Ellen Chilson and her husband David J., Harrisonville, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jimmie Leon Church.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Forest W. Church Memorial Fund, and these contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
