I am looking for any information on Amos Bynum Church(Son of Hugh M. Alexander Church, Son of Amos Church Jr., Son of Amos Church Sr., Son of Yankee John Church) and his spouse Martha A. Millam of Wilkes County, NC. I have the names of their children (6 altogether}. One daughter, Myrtle Elizabeth Church B: 11 Apr 1897 D: 27 Sep 1991, was my grandmother. Her husband was William Thomas Watson b: 20 Dec 1894 d: 8 Apr 1960. He was a preacher in the Wilkes and Caldwell County areas. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's almost time again for the Yankee John Church family reunion. Come join us in Jefferson, NC for a great time. Make sure to tell all the kin and bring them along and let's make this the biggest reunion yet. See information below.

Please provide one carry in dish per family.
DIRECTIONS TO FAMILY CENTRAL
Take HWY #221 North (Going past Wal-Mart) to Jefferson. Pass
Food-Lion/Roses on the left. Go about 1 mile to a major intersection where
the 4-lane turns into 2 lanes. Look for Vannoy & Sons Construction Office
located at that intersection. Take a left on HWY #16. Go approximately 1 &
1/2 miles. Turn right on Ashe Central School Road. Watch for the sign
"Family Central". The center is about 1 mile

NICHOLS, Iowa -- Joseph L. Church, 76, Nichols, died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Lone Tree Care Center, Lone Tree.
Burial was at Nichols Cemetery.
He was born March 11, 1928, in Columbus Junction, the son of Joseph F. and Nellie Alstot Church. He married Jessie Mullens in February 1950, in Columbus Junction. She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the years of the Korean War.
He was a barber for many years in the Columbus Junction and Nichols area and worked at Rath Meat Packing Co. and IBP, Columbus Junction.
He and was a Golden Glove Boxer in Muscatine and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Harry and husband Phil of Reading, Mich., and Donna Garvey of Wilton; a son, Joseph Church Jr. of Nichols; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Madge Orr of Columbus Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

WILTON, Iowa -- Vivian Irene Church, 90, Wilton, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Muscatine Care Center, Muscatine.
Services are at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. The Rev. Dr. David Hottenstein will officiate. The remains will be transferred to the Cutler Funeral Home, Council Bluffs. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Council Bluffs.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, and First Congregation United Church of Christ, Council Bluffs.
Mrs. Church was born on Nov. 11, 1911, in Council Bluffs, the daughter of Roy and Winifred Dewey Short. She married Clarence Jordan. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1962. She later married Frank Church on Sept. 18, 1988, in Council Bluffs. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1999.
She retired in 1973 as the executive secretary of the Patt County Tuberculosis and Health Association, Council Bluffs, after 17 years. She previously worked as secretary to the manager of the Hotel Chieftain and as a cashier for the gas company.
She graduated from ALHS in 1929 and Boyles Business College.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and a former member of the First Congregation United Church of Christ, the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, AARP, American Contract Bridge League and PEO.
She enjoyed knitting.
Survivors include a sister, Lois Mosher of Tipton; a niece, Patricia; a nephew, Robert Mosher and his wife, Julie, of Wilton, with whom she resided.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Irma Short.

Hello the Eb Church ,I was refering to had 2 sons Loyd & Lafe. He also had 2 daughters Flora & Alice Marie. He had these children with his first wife, I belive her name was Elizabeth. after her death ,he remarried & they had several children . I do not know if they were his bio children or his step childern .All I was told was he farmed, his first children out, or placed them with different people , in & near Huntington WV & rome Ohio
