Cindy,
My grandfather Frank S. Church was an inventor and one of his early inventions was a bean thresher. My brother suffered from a skin condition that had to be treated with some type of fish oil. I remember going with him to doctor visits when I was a little girl. I don't know if there is any connection here but would love to talk to you and find out. My Church family ancestors are from Michigan and Vermont.

H, I'm trying to determine who was the father of Peter Pickle b. 1782. Peter married Amy Church b.1786, most probably in Claverack NY. I believe she was the daughter of John Church.
Any Church information on this line appreciated.
Thanks you.

I'd like to find a Gideon Church, born abt 1775, died 1837, married
Phoebe Ferris in abt 1801-2, had 10 children, lived in Washington Co and
Warren Co, NY- there are a dozen Gideon Church's but only one who married
Phoebe Ferris. He sure is illusive. Barb in st Pete

Deborah Church married Joseph Smith from Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. They came to the Butternuts Township, Otsego County, New York about 1798. They are both buried in the Churchyard Cemetery in Gilbertsville, Otsego County, New York. Who were her parents, siblings, or children? I would appreciate any information anyone could give to me.

Hi
There were two Church families living in Dorchester - one from Ireland and one from UEL family that came from Rhode Island to Nova Scotia and into New Brunswick. I'm from the UEL family. i don't have any info on the Church family from Ireland - did you look at the Archives of New Brunswick site?

I assume that you didn't get a reply from Moira Forde? I've been trying to contact her for ages on various email addresses she's left on various posts but without success.
My gmother was a Church - she appears on the 1901 Leitrim census as living in Carrick-on-Shannon (Martha Charlotte C) & therefore descended from all the Churches mentioned as living in Ireland in Moira's post.
I exchanged emails a while ago with a Bob Church living in California & he told me that I should contact Gerard McCully living in Canada as he had a lot of Church info. but this is the first McCully mention I've seen since
I've not been able to make contact with Bob for some time so had drawn a blank on this. I may have some info. that you don't have and vice versa so would love to hear from you and exchange what we have to - hopefully - our mutual benefit!
Regards,
Nick

Hi Melba,
We have talked in the past several years, I have found that I am descended from Chris Dudley & his 2nd wife Mary LEWIS - however I do have notes on CHURCH in several Notebooks, and I also have a bunch of CONNECTICUT Genealogy books, probably about 50 of them, all UNINDEXED!! If I remember correctly I marked anything that said CHURCH in it - (there were CHURCH families in Barkhamsted, CT. Litchfield County)
IF I remember ,off hand, I haven't researched CHURCH lately but I think there was a mysterry STAMPHER - STAMPER - I found this -

There was alot more but had no more time to look and will one day get back to it I hope!
I have info on JAMES DUDLEY & MARY WELCH (above) also if you are interested - James was son of WILLIAM DUDLEY & ELIZABETH CARY - WILLIAM was son of EDWARD DUDLEY & ELIZABETH "HESTER" PRITCHARD.

Sam
I think your Ann Church who married Christopher Dudley would have been born about 1680 and so would her brother John Church, which would make him probably grandfather to my 'Yankee' John Church born in the 1730s in VA, since the document mentions John Church, brother of Ann Church Dudley gave Christopher Dudley a Power of Attorney in 1704 to sell his land in VA.
