Hi Donna Lee,
I don't have any info on Clifford Church, however, I am looking for an elusive member of my family tree. James Church was born in 1835 in the Ledyard/Griswold area and I do not know who his parents were or if there were any siblings. Do you know of any Church family members in that area who might have a son named James? James married Mary Elizabeth Dorrance in 1857 in Sterling CT and they moved to E. Providence, RI. Both their sons were born in RI: Charles Uriah Church, 1859 and John Herbert 1861.
Good luck with your research and if I come up with any infor on Clifford, I'll let you know.
Take care
Leslie

In the Lowville, NY Historical newspapers that are now on line,
(_http://news.nnyln.org_ (http://news.nnyln.org) ) there is an article about Julia Church
of Antwerp who married in Sep 1850 to James A Merwin and then in Aug. 1856,
she passed away. I suspect that this Julia is the daughter of Ezra Church and
Mercy Farr. Does anyone have any further information on Julia Church Merwin?
Julia Church and James A Merwin had two children: Julia born 9 Aug 1853 and
Jane born 13 Aug 1856.
This Julia married John S Bickford. And Jane died in Aug 1859. All according
to the article.
Other Merwin children are named in the news article.
Thanks in advance,
Julia

Sorry for the delay in replying to your answer.
Well we do know of the Eynsford Church family and one of our Williams sisters was in a Village called Farningham in about 1839 this Village is only about 1/2 mile from Eynsford and there may well be some connection but at this time we are still looking for it but would be interested to hear of any more information you may have.
