Karen, I think the William Thomas Church you are looking for was born abt 1835 in Illinois and moved to Canada where he married Louisa McDonald. He is the brother of my great-grandfather Myron B. Church. Please contact me at quicksilver523(a)msn.com to discuss possible relatives in common.

Allison, thank you. Since posting that note, I found the 1850 census (I had been looking for Thomas and it was under "Melton"!) and now I'm trying to find some bona fide info about Church/Thomas Milton, his family history, etc. The info on the census is all I have. He is my gg-grandfather. Do you know anything about him? Thanks SO much.

I hope this helps!
