The first five generations from Richard Warren and Four from Richard Church are available from The MAyflower Society. The book you are speaking of, I read also, gave me an insight to what my ancesters went through, my 12th gr grandmother, Benjamin Church's grandmother lived to be past 90, she came three years after her husband with her girls and gave birth to two boys here, it must have been very hard as she was from a wealthy family in England.
Hi, I am a descendant of Benjamin Church's brother, Elijah Church born in
1773 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Elijah married Charity Craft,
daughter of James and Sarah Hammon Craft. I actually have that we are
descendant's of Richard Church who married Ann Marsh in 1627 in England.
If this is wrong please point me in the correct direction! Thank you!

Thanks, we have Church's in our family and while we were out to New England a couple months ago I took a picture of a stone with Church on it. Now it has me wondering if there is a connection. I also read the book The Mayflower. It had a lot in it about the King Phillipp war and Benjamin Church. I don't remember the author but it is a recent one. We ended up getting it on CD and listening to it. Really enjoyed it. My family are also Denison's and they were mentioned in it. Thanks again,
Pat Blanchard

Would love it if your Thomas was somehow related, but it sounds like he would be one generation older than mine; perhaps a relative or maybe even his father.
If you have any more info on your Thomas that would be helpful. I will be meeting with a researcher in Burke County in a couple of weeks. I will have her look into it as well.

Richard Church owned a lot of land in Chowan, Albemarle and Currituck Counties. Church Island in Currituck Co. was once owned by him. He served in the NC Legislature in the 1720's and died in 1743.
Norfolk Co. will mentions dau. Lydia Casson, Julian, son Caleb, Joseph, Thomas, dau. Elizabeth and wife Abiah, witnesses: Peter Taylor, Marg. Wilson, Henry White.
I have never tried to trace Richard's son Thomas, so I have no idea if he is the Thomas you are looking for but he was certainly born before 1743.
Hope this is helpful.
