In Ontario, we have Church families who are Irish in descent. George
Church and his wife Letitia, lived in Winchester Township, Dundas County
(near Ottawa). Some families members were also in Quebec as some of
their grand children were born there. The families including, George and
Letitia, moved to near Arthur, Ontario in Wellington County. I know of
one grandson named George who married Ann Jane Cole in 1861 in Mount
Forest. This family lived in Orillia in 1896 when Ann died. That is as
close to Burke's Falls and Fenelon Falls as I can get our Church
families right now.

My gggrandfather, Silas Church, was born in Goshen,VT in 1793, his
father, also Silas, was born in 1771 in Lancaster, Worchester County,
MA. Silas, born in 1771, was the son of Caleb, b 1741 and the grandson
of Joshua b. 1707/08. Caleb and Joshua were born in Watertown, MA as far
as I have been able to determine. Perhaps this will help.

We don't have a clue who his parents are. If we knew that we would be a lot
happier. As far as we can tell Oliver was born abt 1773, supposedly in
Danbury Vt. according to the History Of Leeds & Grenville but there never
has been a place by that name and we haven't found him in Vt. as of yet.

Well I know my family is in Canada but I don't know who they are in the
U.S.A.> I do also have the Loyalist Churchs collected into a database but I
can't prove a relationship to them. Somehow we are related to Richard and
Ann's family I believe because there are too many coincidence's between
their descendents and my ancestors but where the connection is we may never
know until we can find Oliver & Margaret in the U.S.A. And we need to find
the relationship between Oliver Church and Jemima Richards and Oliver
Church and Margaret Pangborn.
