Hi Amy,
I have a book titled "History of the Church Family". It was published in 1887
by The Narragansett Historical Publishing Company of Providence, R.I.
In this book, Philip S. B. Church is listed as b 11 Mar 1827, d 1 Jul 1874 and
married Ellen Kenney. Parents are Albert M. Church b 9 Jan 1803 and Amey T.
Grinnell b 30 Jan 1805. Philip is an 8th generation descendant of Richard and
Elizabeth as you thought. Contact me at gensleuth(a)attbi.com if you need more
details. Good luck in your research. Jim Edgar

Hi Dick
My ancestor was Jane Church born in 1807-1810 in probaly Georgia but maybe
NC. She married solomon Ray in 1829 in Henry co ga but that is all I can
find about her. I can not find any info about her parents or who they were
or where they were from. I know this is not much to go on but would you have
a Jane Church in your records? Thanks, Ross

I am interested in knowing about any of the Churches from Hartford CT
during the 1780-1836 era. I'm looking for the family of Fannie Church,
who was probably born about 1807-1810. She married Nathaniel Eggleston
Hooker, whose father was a physician in the West Hartford area during
that era.
Fannie and Nathaniel left Hartford in the mid-1830s and, after a stop in
New York State, settled at the western edge of Lake Erie in Wood and
Lucas Counties in Northwestern Ohio. Their first son was named William
Wallace Hooker, the second was Lemuel Harrison Hooker, and their third
son was named Samuel Church Hooker. If any of these names ring a bell
in connection with a Church family, I'd appreciate knowing.

My g-g-grandparents, David & Messanda Church were both born in New York. Their son Wilson Church was born in Canada on 6/4/1832. He married Mary Elizabeth Snow (b.1/22/1837) on 10/26/1852. At some point they moved to Montcalm County, Michigan. They had 5 children: Elva, Cynthia, Alice, Mansel & James (my g-g-grandfather).
Is there a connection with your family? I am very interested in going farther back than David... Mayflower? Wow! You can reach me at ritarony(a)aol.com.
Sometime after 1991 a member of the LDS Church submitted the
following record to FamilySearch, the LDS search site:
Caroline Thompson b. ca 1827 Tennessee
married on March 21, 1848 in Grundy Co., Tennessee
Franklin Church b. ca 1823 Tennessee
I would like to correspond to the person who made that submission or

Hello
You had contacted me last year about the Ray family. My ancestor was Solomon Ray born 1811 in Wilkes co Ga and grew up in Henry co Ga. He married Jane church in 1829 in Henry co Ga. I have found info that their daughter(my ancestor) Lucinda ray was part indian. That would mean eith Solomon Ray or Jane Church was indian. I can not find any information aobut Jane Church or who her parents were or where they were from. You had mentioned you had seen many Rays on the (I believe you said Baker Roll but I am not sure) that were declined because of no verification. Could you tell me how to check for names on the Indian rolls so I can check for the Rays and the Church familys? Thanks, Ross
