I am attempting to confirm the marriage of Lemuel Church, b. 1792 (son of
Joseph Church & Sarah Brightman) to Ann Winans, b. 1800.
In the 1913 book, "Descendants of Richard Church of Plymouth, Mass." by John
A. Church, it states that he married a Betsey Simmons but no marriage date is
given. This book also states that Lemuel was b. 1792 & d. 1785. Obviously an
error. He couldn't have died seven years before he was born. But have seen this
error repeated numerous times on the net.
Any help connecting Lemuel Church to Ann Winans greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gnanse

Hi,
I am trying to find out information on George H. Lange, who lived in Toledo, Ohio in the 1930 Census. He was living with the Wayne W. Church family. I believe that Wayne's Wife Sophia was his sister. THe childern are listed as Edward, Age 18, Robert, Age 16, and Alice M., Age 13. I do know that Alice M. Church later married a Hone. Edward L. Lange died in 2002, in Waterville, Ohio. I have his obituary, and it lists as his survivors, Sons, Edward, Thomas and Gary Church, and a daughter, Sandy Frantom. Do any of these names sound familiar to you? I would really like to contact someone who is connected to this family.
Am willing to do Chicago IL Tribune obit lookups in trade for obit lookups that I need. All obits that I need are for my own relatives. If any of the names are in your line maybe we can swap info on that line. I need obit lookups for the following
Church, Mary Younglove d) 06/09/1795 in MA-Great Barrington, Berkshire Co
Church, Moses d) 06/09/1795 in MA-Great Barrington, Berkshire Co

I have Selina's birth certificateand I have the 1881 census transcription but my question is where did Henry come from.
In the Beavington 1851 census transcription the following is recorded:
CHURCH James 55 Ag. Lab. Chewton Mendip, Som.

George 26 Ag. Lab. Chewton Mendip, Som.

My Henry would fit well with this - can anyone make any further connections?

I have the marriage for this family, 1857, in Carroll County, IL. I then have no more info until 1880 when they are listed in Corning, Adair County, IOWA, living with 6 of their children. Their oldest daughter, Elizabeth Caroline Church, was married and living with her husband David Markley, in Adams County at this time. I am really looking for more info on the family of Lewis and Mary. I also know that they homesteaded in South Dakota in the early 1900s and Lewis died some time between 1904 and 1910. Mary is listed as living with the Markleys in 1920, in Hutchinson County, SD. The Markleys moved to California in the 1920s, but I don't know what happened to Mary or anything about their other children. I have the names as: Diansha(?), b. 1864, Catira (?), born 1867, James, b 1871, Daniel Francis, born Oct. 1872, Ellen, born 1885, and Robert Edgar, b. Nov. 1877. On the 1910 census, Daniel's occupation is listed as "blacksmith". Mary had 9 children, with 5 living in 19!
10. Lewis, born in Wisconsin, was the son of Edward Lewis Church. Thanks so much for any information anyone may have.
