I have details of some of these children's descendents. The children were:

I am assuming by the names that these Church men are all the sons of
Nathaniel and Rachel McCranny. I also assume the Daniel Whipple was a
brother or father perhaps to Perone Whipple and the man for whom Daniel
Whipple Church was named for. The Whipple's married more than once into the
Church family. And the writings of Daniel Whipple are quite good on his
family life and who his ancestors were, at least on the Church side. When I
was reading the book I never paid much attention to the Whipple side. My
Oliver Church I believe fits into this family somewhere, but no one has
found the link yet. In one of these families my Oliver Church b. 1773 is
floating around looking for his father,<LOL> and he isn't the son of
Malachi, that much we know.
Sorry Julia I tried writing directly to you but AOL seems to have all

I wanted to let you know what I know about Willard. I know that he was born in Chesaning, MI. He was a minister, but I do not know with which denomination he was associated. He and Ester's son was born in either 1869 or 1870, also in MI. The son's name was Frank Scott Church. The family lived in Port Huron at the time of Frank Scott's marriage in 1898.
I don't know if any of this information will help or not. I so appreciate all that you have already done. Thanks for the offer of more pictures, that would be really neat.

HI Ross,
Sorry, I wasn't very clear on who made the applications. Several of Sarah Church Sosebee's children filed the Miller Roll Applications stating in them that Timothy and Mary Church were their grandparent's. They don't give us any further information on the Church's. The Miller Rolls can be ordered from the Federal Archives. They were being used to prove Indian heritage on the Sosebee side of the family.
It would be nice if someone had a copy of Benjamin Church's will with his children all named or maybe a old family bible.
Miracles do happen.
Take care, Rayna

Hi Rayna
Thanks for the information. I am very interested in the Miller Roll you mentioned Timothy and Mary Church had made application for. Would you know if that was Timothy Church, son of Benjamin Church and his wife Mary McIntire? As I said I believe Jane Church might have been the daughter of Benjamin Church and sister to your Timothy Church. She was born 1807-1810 in probaly Gerogia. Which Miller Roll did you find their application and could you tell me how you found it. Thanks, Ross
Sounds like my Jonathan! And I can believe he was involved in churchy

Hi Rayna
Thanks so much for the reply. I did not know that Timothy and Mary Church
were indian. That is very interesting. I believe Jane or Susanah Jane Church
was probaly the sister of Timothy Church and Gabriel Church. I knew Gabriel
Church was listed in the 1830 Campbell co Ga census but a researchr sent me
the information that he had a daughter Mary Jane Church born in 1833. I
assume it was the same Gabriel Church that was the son of Benjamin Church
born 1763 in NC. There seems to be information about Timothy and Gabriel
Church but none about their sisters or brothers if they had brothers. I know
they had sisters based on the census reports. Would you know what kind of
indian Timothy and Mary were? Probaly Cherokee? Thanks, Ross

Hi Ross,
My Sarah Church's parent's were named in one of the Miller Roll Application as Timothy and Mary Church. It is my belief based on several census records with the whole family living in same area for decades near Sarah and her husband Ephraim Sosebee. I do know that Timothy name one of his daughter's Jane in or about 1837 and he named one of his sons Benjamin. Now that's not proof of anything but it is an indicator.
As to Benjamin this is all the information I have on him:

I did not know about Gabriel Church. Would the researcher be willing to share information about Gabriel and his family?
Do they have any other siblings

Hello
I am still trying to find who the parents of Jane Church born 1807-1810 in Georgia or NC were and where they were from. As I mentioned beofre, I believe she was the daughter of Benjamin Church born 1863 in Wilkes co NC and the sister of Timothy Church and Gabriel Church. I did find a land record from 1848 in Tallapoosa co Al where Solomon Ray who married Jane Church in 1829 in Henry co Ga. The land was in the name of Susanah Ray. I don't know who Susanah Ray was unless maybe Jane Church's first name was Susanah. If you see a Susanah Ray listed in connection with the Church family please let me know. Also, a Church researcher sent me an email saying they had found a record showing Gabriel B Church living in Campbell co Ga)1830 census) had a daughter named Mary Jane Church born in 1833 in Campbell co Ga. Thanks, Ross

Hi Ross!
I have Yankee John being married twice. First, to a ??Stamper, which my line goes through, and then to Jane Andrews. I have Gabriel church, b. 1794 in Lewis Fork, Wilkes, County, N.C. as their son. Also have Elizabeth, Massy, Susanna, and Anna as Gabriel's sisters. I have Timothy as being son of Benjamin, from Yankee John's first wife, ??Stamper.
This is my direct line, so hope I am right. If not, please let me know!
My line is: Yankee John, Benjamin, Timothy, John M, Martha Ann married Thomas Passmore, his daughter, Jessie Mae Passmore married my grandfather, Ed Mease, they had my father, Edgar White Mease, and me, Vivian Allene Mease.
Maybe this will help you with your Gabriel . Hope so! bunnie bunnieg(a)hotmail.com
