Have you found a Daniel and Edith McKim Church anywhere in your family? Daniel was born in 1841 somewhere in N.Y. I have him and Edith in the 1900 censes in Huron County, Ohio,(Clarksfeild Twp.) but they seem to dissappear after that. They did at one time move from Ohio to the Roscommon area of Michigan and then back to Ohio with their son William and his wife Gertrude Pearsall. Daniel is my gg grandfather and I am tring to find out who his parents were. I found somewhere that his mother was born in N.Y. and his father was born In Delaware, but can't find their names listed anywhere. I keep hoping I can find out when and where Daniel died and that maybe they will be listed on his death certificate.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I would like to know if anyone can help me with our family history. My Father is Renaldo Vernor Church born in 1907 in Calabogie Ontario Canada, his uncle was Spencer Church who lived to be 106 years old in Calabogie also. It seems that is where the family lived when they came from wherever it was because I cant find anything earlier. My name is James Alfred Church. Part of the family moved to the Timmins and Kirkland Lake area where they became miners and railway workers. Any help will be appreciated, Jim

Douglas,
Unfortunatle I don't have any more info on the Church's. My info came from my grandfather's Aunt who would have been Cyrene Farwell Church's cousin. I will keep searching and keep you in mind.
Her brother Charles married Louisa Vinton in 1850 in Amboy. He had two daughters Jesse and Flora. I don't know if any of these names may show up and make a connection. Jesse married Addison Keefer and Flora married Roland Bear.
Robin Anderson
Timothy Church, child of Benjamin church and XXXX is in my direct line. He was born 8Sept1793 in S.C. d. 2May1873 in Habersham County, N.C. bunnie

Hello
I had just sent you an email and forgot to ask. Benjamin Church was the only one I could not find his children's names. Jane Church and Solomon Ray named their first son Silas Benjamin Ray so I thought at first maybe Benjamin Church was her father. Did he have a daughter named Jane born 1807-1810? There was a Benjamin Church listed in the 1830 Campbell co Ga census and I thought since Campbell co Ga is just two counties over from Henry co Ga that maybe he was her father but I believe he was from SC and there was a Benjamin Church found in Habersham or Franklin co Ga in 1820 I believe but he too was from SC(I believe) If you know of any other info please let me know. thanks, Ross

Hi
Thanks for the reply about the children's name of Yankee John Church. I have read his first wife's name was Stamper, first name unknown. I have also read his last four chi9ldren were daughter before he died so this is different from the last children you have listed. Of course that does not mean the other sites are correct because I don't know. My ancestor was Jane Church born 1807-1810 in NC or Georgia and marriled Solomon Ray in 1829 in Henry co Ga. I can not find her parent's names. They named their first child Elizabeth and their second child Silas Benjamin And their third child John. The children's names of Philip Church, son of Yankee John Church are almost the same as the children's names of Jane Chruch and Solomon ray but he did not have a daughter named Jane born 1807-1810. They did not keep very good records then so maybe all Yankee John Church's children are not listed. Also, I believe Rowan Co Virginia is incorrect and it should be Rowan co NC. Thanks, Ross

Robin, I've been trying to find my Church ancestors for 20 years with little luck. However, in my research I noticed a Farwell in the 1850 Lee Co., Amboy Twp. census, family # 14. It appears to be Joseph (58), Cyrena D. (50) and son Chas. B. (19). There is a Bradford Church family #9; also Permellia, Sylvester, Fanny, Emily, and William Church with the family of C. T. Bridgeman, #16; John C. is family # 20; and Uriah Bridgeman family #21. I believe that the Church's and the Bridgeman's intermarried often. Your Church/Farwell connection is a first for me, and I am hoping you can perhaps shed some light on my Church line.

Phillip Church born Dec 3, 1767,in Wilkes, NC
Martha Church born about 1771 in Wilkes, NC
Elijah Church, Sr born March 1773 in Lewis Fork, NC
Joel Church, Sr, born 1776 in Wilkes, NC
Elisha Church born 1775 in Wilkes, NC
Aaron Church born 1786 in Wilkes, NC
the above children were from his first marriage, unknown name of wife
He married Jane Andrews abount 1790 in Rowan, VA
Their children were:
William Church born about 1785 in Wilkes, NC
Sarah Susannah Church born 1787
Jane Church born about 1789
Gabriel Church born about 1792
Elizabeth Church born 1795
Massey Church born 1799
Anna Church born 1800
Caleb Church born about 1803
all were born in Wilkes, NC
I have listed father of Yankee John as John R Church born Oct 7 1704 in Hadley, MA, no name of mother
Have a Church family in Habersham county Ga. from the same time period. Martha Ann Crane married John M. Church on 12 Aug 1879. John was born in 1822 in Habersham County. His father was Timothy Church, mother Mary c. McIntire, father was Benjamin Church, his father was John Church. Since John's mother's name was Mary, (Mary McIntire) could your Mary possibly be named after her and be a sister to John M.? I know this is strecthing it a bit, but one never knows when we can just "fall " into a connection. Any info you have on this line would be greatly apreciated. Bunnie bunnieg(a)hotmail.com
