I am looking for Robert Clinton Church the father on my grown childern, for medical reasons.
Please Help, Thank You
Thanks for answering my email. John Christian Church enlisted in the Rev.
War in Augusta County. That is as far back as I have been able to trace him.
A cousin thinks John Christian's bro. George Church was born in Albermarle
Co., but she has no documentation. We've hit a brick wall with seemingly no
way around it. Believe me, if you can help I will be eternally grateful.

I'm looking for members of the Church family woh are related to the silversmith Cornelius Kierstede. One of his great granddaughters married into the Church family in New Haven, CT. ANY info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Interesting. My grandmother, a Church by birth, was descended from Richard
Warren, a Mayflower passenger. The ages look about right. Richard Warren
had the biggest house in Plymouth and the most kids. Interesting. She was
born in Fairhaven Mass - right near the Cape.

Subject: [CHURCH] Passing on information
Hi all -
I don't know if this will help anyone, but I'm going to pass it on
anyway - just in case.
This is taken from "Genealogical Guide to the Early Settlers of
America", by Henry Whittemore, Genealogy Publishing Co., 1967.
The first listing is the Richard Church that married Elizabeth Warren
- I figure we all know about him, so I'm not including it. (If someone
wants it, let me know.)
The next is another RICHARD CHURCH, of Harford, Conn., an original
proprietor, removed, about 1660, to Hadley, Mass., and died there Dec.
1667. His widow Ann, died March 10, 1684, aged 83, and in his will four
children only are mentioned, viz: Edward, John, Mary and Samuel, all
probably born in England.
GARRET or JARED CHURCH, of Waterown, 1637, was born 1611; admitted
freeman 1649. By wife Sarah he had John 1638, Samuel 1640, Sarah 1643,
Mary 1644, Jonathan 1646, David 1657.
JOHN CHURCH, of Dover, 1662, at Salisbury, married Nov. 29, 1664,
Abigail, daughter of John Severance, and had Jonathan 1666, John 1668,
Ebenezer 1670, Abigail 1672. He was taken by the Indians in the war of
1689 and escaped, but was killed May 7, 1696, by the Indians near his
home.
There follows a long section of references - if anyone needs them,
I'll send them. Since I only have webtv - no scanner - I'm typing this
by hand - I'll send it if there's a need/desire.
(Also on this page is Churchill or Churchall, Churchman, Chute,
Cilley or Seeley, Cist, Claas, Claflin, Cloggett and Claghorn.)
Hope this is of some help to someone -- Terri

Hi Claudine, Do you have any idea in which county John Christian Church and Eleanor
lived or married? I have a researcher at the Library of Virginia who will try to
find the marriage record for us, but she would like to know which county to check
first if we can suggest one.

Hello Janice, I am a Church researcher trying to find more about my Church
family of colonial Virginia. My gr gr gr grandfather was John Christian
Church, who married Eleanor ?? In your researching, have you ever run across
this couple? John Christian Church served in the Rev. War, so we are

Chequita: I would like to correspond about Thomas A Church and Epsa Barker. E-mail was returned as undeliverable.
Hi Viv!
I am so glad you are interested in Elizabeth Church who married Hugh Daley
inPittsylvania Co. VA. She is my gr gr gr gr grandmother. I have a copy of their
marriage bond. The consent is written by Jonathan M. Church Sr. on April 9, 1801.
The bond is issued on April 10. Hugh Daley signed his name with this spelling, and
the bondsman is Jonathan M. Church Jr. W. Wright also signs as a bondsman.
Elizabeth is also listed as living in a Dailey Household (I think the spelling
includes the "i") on the 1850 Pittsylvania Census. There her name is Elizabeth
Wales. Wales could easily be an alternate reading of Wall. Do you have a marriage
bond for this second marriage? I have never seen that. She is 70 years old at that
time, leading me to conclude that her birthdate was 1780. Somewhere I read that she
was born in Brosville, VA. Another researcher has said that Hugh Daley was the son
of Jesse Daley of Loudoun or Fauquier Counties in Northern VA.
I have read that Jonathan Church Sr. was married to Alice Isaac in Prince George's
Co MD, but I am still searching for the documentation for this marriage. This Church
family spent some time in Loudoun VA as Jonathan Jr. was apprenticed there at age 12
in 1777. The Jonathan Church family appears on the 1785 tax list in Pittsylvania as
a family of 10 taxable people. These colonial families did move around a lot. I
would like to know the basis for connecting this Jonathan to Waitstill Church in New
England.
Thank you for your help.

$12.00 on his family but didnt think it would help me, as I am tracing the
Church family from Greene Co. Pa. He said Isaac W. and Singleton went to
