I am searching for information on Edward (Ted) Church and his wife Lourina(sp?) Kellum. They had several children, one of which was my father, Amos Dixon Church - born in Ruston, LA in 1911. Please help me locate information on either of them.
Hi,
You're confused with Richard Church of Hartford,
Connecticut, who married Anne Marsh.
Richard Church of the Plymouth Colony was christened
in Shoreditch, London, England, 3 Jun 1608, the son of
George and Margaret (Northrup) Church. He married
Elizabeth Warren of Mayflower fame in Plymouth, 14 Mar
1635. I descend from Richard of Plymouth--the two
Richards are often confused, thus propagating much
error and confusion.
I am currently compiling a comprehensive database of
the descendants of Richard Church of the Plymouth
Colony. If you do descend from THIS Richard, please
send me your line with as many sources as possible.
Best,
Ryan D. Wood

I too have been looking for a Church / Beach connection. I have a Probate record for Samuel Alanson Church. It contains the names of his wife Marilla and a Cyrenus Church. I am not sure how Cyrenus fits in. He may be Samuel Alanson's brother. The date on the record is November 14, 1864.
My Aunt has also given me the names of James White Church and Eunice Betts. Not sure how they fit either.
Does this fit your research?

Hello,
I'm not sure if this will help. Library of Michigan has a searchable
database of the 1870 census:
http://envoy.libofmich.lib.mi.us/1870_census/Search.asp
There is one Olive Church listed. But she's in Livingston County.
Good luck.
