My great grandfather, John Marion CHURCH, was b in Rutherford Co., TN,

and Calvin C. (b. ca 1862). I know that my great grandfather ended up in
Saline Co., Arkansas, but I don't know about the brothers. Do you have
the names of Thomas Marion Church's father and/or grandfather?

Hi Churches,
Does anyone have any information on a Happy K. Church. She was born in 1827
in Griswold, CT to a Betsey Church - a single parent apparently. Happy
married a John Gallup of Voluntown, CT 16 April 1849.
Does anyone recognize these names and do we know if Betsey Church (Church
being her maiden name) had any other children?
There was also a Catherine A. Church of Voluntown who married a Roy York on 3
November 1844. Does anyone know her parentage?
The reason for these questions, is that I am still trying to track down the
parents of my gggrandfather, James Church. He was supposedly born in
Griswold, CT around 1833. He never listed his parents on any documents and I
was wondering if possibly he was the product of one of Betsey's liaisons. I
requested Happy K's marriage certificate in hopes that it would show both
sides of her parentage - but it did not show anything other than her name and
John Gallups and the date. Her birth certificate also only indicated her
mother, Betsey, and the date of her birth.
TIA!!
Leslie

THE REUNION ON THE BLUE RIDGE
Good morning. Plans are now complete for the national Church family reunion in West Jefferson, (Ashe Co.) North Carolina on Saturday August 4th 2001. We expect Church family members and genealogist from around the country to attend. Most folks will be descendants of Yankee John Church and the Church families of the mountains, but all are welcome.
This is a great place to visit and vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Attractions galore and maybe even Church family golf outing. Come be with us in August.
For complete reunion and lodging information contact, Dave Church at dlchurch(a)bright.net

I worked in Hancock Co., Tenn, in the 70's and 80's and know that the
county and state spread over the aforementioned states. Hancock Co. touched
Kentucky- West Virginia- sure makes genealogy interesting, doesn't it. Sorry
I don't know the person or family name. Barb of St Pete
I am seeking the names of the parents and siblings of Benjamin
Franklin CHURCH, b. TN ca 1828, m. 1848 Cannon Co., TN, to Mary Caroline
THOMPSON, b. TN ca 1830. They were in Rutherford Co., TN, along with
their infant son, John M., in 1850. By 1860 they were living in Coffee
Co., TN, with their sons: John, William, James Thomas, and Franklin. Son
Calvin was born in 1861. By 1870, Franklin (the father) was out of the
picture. Later Caroline married (ca 1878) Benjamin BURKS and then (ca
1892) David PRINCE in Coffee Co., TN. I would like to correspond
with anyone connected with this family.

I am looking for Church descendents in Upper Canada, particularly those of
Oliver Church and Margaret Pangborn. I also have collected information on
the Loyalist descendents of Malachi Church and ELizabeth Mills. What
puzzles me though is the statement Leavitt made in the History of Leeds and
Grenville in that Oliver referring to Oliver and Jemima came to Upper
Canada with his three sons, Oliver, William and Joseph. I have made
assumptions on seeing other peoples work that Oliver would have been Oliver
Jr. and William would have been William Malachi but who is JOSEPH? I find
no one in Oliver's family named Joseph, is there someone I missed? I don't
believe it to be Oliver and Margaret's family as it appears to take place
before Oliver and Margaret would have had a family in Upper Canada, also
Oliver and Margaret did have a son Oliver and one named William, but not
one named Joseph. So who is this Joseph that is referred to? Also if you
have any information on any of the descendents of these families I would
like to exchange information with you. Or if you know where
Oliver(Margaret) is buried I would also like to see it as Oliver does not
appear to be buried in Lehighs next to Margaret.
What if the HOKEY - POKEY was all its about?

Got the following note from my Crocker list, and it had been forwarded from
other lists. I haven't checked it out yet myself:
I took a minute out of our volunteer typing time to check this site
out.
http://www.familydiscovery.com/
It is a fraudulent site because a membership gives you links to our
free sites. You do not have to pay to get to any site in USGenWeb
Right here, there is no charge to get to all the counties in USGenWeb.
We are all hardworking volunteers to have genealogy information
free for researchers.
I have found links to our Macoupin civil war rosters, censuses,
which we spent many hours of volunteer time now to have unknowing
researchers pay a membership to click on a link to view our work.
Macoupin County ILGenWeb volunteers have put over 1400 pages of
free information and continuing to work to get more pages up.
If any person finds our complete work in their membership, please
notify me. Please pass this information onto any list. Let's try to
keep these ripoffs from making their pile of money from our
volunteer work.
Please pass this onto any list you might be on. Hopefully, this
site will be removed soon if not sooner.
Thanks for listening.
