Does anyone have info on MO Church's. Matthew, perhaps from Ireland, his
son Milton Paul b. Between 1850-1865, place of birth unknown, married
Margaret Catherine Haddock, their children were Margaret, James Henry b.
Jan. 30, 1882, and Willard. We believe they were born in either St.
Francois Co., or Reynolds Co. Any help?
Thanx, Doug
I found these on Ancestry.com today and I thought I would share it with the
Church researchers. I was looking for my Oliver and came across these other
Church members that you may be searching for. I am curious as to who these
"BURR" would choose Samuel Church to be his guardian. I am also sending
this to the Vermont list because I know there are people there researching
this family.

Hello list.
I just realised that I made a mistake in my message last night:
Edward Church (1929-1979) listed in the SSDI :
his last benefit went to 11772 Patchogue NY.
It was Henry Church whose last known residence was Blue Point NY 11715.
Angelique.
Hello.
I am seeking another group of Churchs on Long Island:
Alonzo Vail Church married in 1900 Catherine Wessels.
They were listed in the 1900 census of Suffolk Co. as working on the Ketcham Farm in Huntington Township.
They had a son Henry Byron Church in 1901.
I think that the following are the children of Henry Byron Church:
Henry Alonzo Church b.1927
Edward Walter Church b.1929
Mary Elinor Church b.1931
Dorothy Church b.1932
There is an Edward Church (1929-1979) listed in the SSDI whose last known residence was Blue Point, Long Island NY.
I am very interested in finding these relatives and their descendants as I am certain that they are my family's long lost cousins.
Any clues to this Church line or how I might find them would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you.
Angelique Mckeag.
Information on a Harrison Church or possibly (Amos) Harrison Church born
February, 1836, died July 6, 1865 in the Civil War would be appreciated.
He shows up in Minnesota on the 1850 census at age 14 by himself, any
information regarding a young Harrison Church would be appreciated.

I am looking for the origins and parents of Joseph CHURCH whose will was
dated 28 February 1722/23 and proved 9 April 1723. He named his wife Julian
(later had a will in the name of Julian SANDERSON), son Richard, daughters
Ledy(Ledia) WHITE and Ann CHURCH. Witnesses were Hester JARVES,Sr., Azricam
PARKER, & Thomas PARKER. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Cindy Fregoe
Got this off one of my list responses so I thought I would send it out to

This is my first posting on this list. Forgive my innocence if I do something wrong, please.
The U.S. census for the year 1790 shows a Silas Church and his family living in Litchfield Town, Litchfield, County, Connecticut. I would like any information available about this Silas. Does anyone know him?

Thanks for writing! There might be a connection, but as far as I know, none
of my relatives were in the Grand Rapids area. But who knows? Maybe we'll
find out eventually.

Doug. I don't think that there is a connection as my Hiram & Henry Church were from Maine, but the family names keep repeating so you may want to check them out. Hiram Church b. 28 May, 1827 in Phillips, Franklin Co., Maine had a brother Henry & a brother Charles. His father was Charles Church, Jr. b. 1795, also in Phillips, Maine. Hiram moved to Kansas before 1874. His oldest son was named Henry Clay. Lee
Not sure. I do know that Roderick & Nancy Ann ended up in Illinois. She
died in Peru, Ill. in 1858 & he, in Chicago in 1873. If she belongs to one
of the CHURCH families who were in Manlius, New York in the 1830's, she may
have had many brothers & sister who went who knows where. The Hiram CHURCH
family was very large & was living in DeWitt, New York (also, Onan. Co.) by
1840. Why do you ask? Deb Talley

Hi,
Yesterday I posted a query about my gg grandfather, and today I'm including
more info I found on him. Perhaps this will provide another clue. Thanks
very much!
Chester B. Church was a carpenter by trade, and he fought in the Civil War,
Corp. Co. G, 5 Michigan Cavalry. Here's what my notes say: "Church, Chester,
B., Linden. [don't know if this is a place name or what]. Enlisted in
company G, Fifth Cavalry, August 19, 1862 at Bath [Clinton Co., MI], for 3
years, age 21. Mustered August 28, 1862. Promoted corporal. Mustered out at
Ft. Leavenworth, Kans., June 22, 1865."
Again, here's the rest of the info I have on him, as posted yesterday:
Can anyone help me find out who the parents of my great-great grandfather
Chester B. CHURCH were? They may have been Jehiel CHURCH and Amy (surname
unknown), but I believe that they may have come from New York. An Amy CHURCH
(married name) was born ABT 1806 in New York and died 2 February 1876 in Bath
Township, Clinton County, Michigan, and I think that she may be Chester's
mother. Chester was born 27 March 1841 in Jackson, Michigan, and died 11 May
1926 in Michigan, probably in either Ingham or Clinton County. On 29
November 1869 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan, he married Mary Ellen
PEACOCK, born 26 November 1850 in Bath Township, Clinton County, Michigan.
Their children were Mary Lisettie CHURCH, b. 27 August 1870 (I knew her--she
was my great grandmother, who married Artemus J. ABEL); Rhoda CHURCH; Menzer
Ezekiah CHURCH; and Alton CHURCH.
Any info on any of these folks will be much appreciated, and I'll be happy to
share any data I have, too.
Thanks very much!
Debra Munn
