Yes Julia I would like to see it. There must be a family connection to
Daniel Whipple Church as well as he is a son of Jonathan and Perone.
In going through my "Church" folder, I came across a copy of the Lineage of
one Lenita Ruth Livingston Gullman which was completed for entry into the
DAR. The ancestor is Jonathan Church, husband of Perone Whipple.
If anyone would like me to send the data to them, just give a shout.
Happy Holidays

Hi Listers ~
Does anyone have documentation for the marriage of Seth Pope, b. 4 March
1719/20, Dartmouth, MA. m. c. 1741 to Abigail Church, b. 8 Oct. 1719, Little
Compton, RI. I *know* it's proveable......I just don't know what I did
with the documentation.
Thanks for any help,
Dianne
I am seeking the names of the parents and siblings of Benjamin
Franklin CHURCH, b. TN ca 1828, m. 1848 Cannon Co., TN, to Mary Caroline
THOMPSON, b. TN ca 1830. They were in Rutherford Co., TN, along with
their infant son, John M., in 1850. By 1860 they were living in Coffee
Co., TN, with their sons: John, William, James Thomas, and Franklin.
Son Calvin was born in 1861. By 1870, Franklin (the father) was out of
the picture. Later Caroline married (ca 1878) Benjamin BURKS and then
(ca 1892) David PRINCE in Coffee Co., TN. Iwould like to correspond
with anyone connected with this family.
Carole
Hodge, LA
Howard, what more can you tell us about the family of Boadicea Church? Who
were her children, her husband's family, when did they go to Ohio, what was
their religion, etc.? I have a Fannie Church (b. abt. 1809) whose son,
Frank Church Hooker (b. 1834) m. Laura Ann Bartholomew (b. 1835 Watertown,
Jefferson, NY). Laura Ann's parents were Daniel Bartholomew and Sarah
Gardner Parker.
Thanks,
Maureen

Good morning. A few days ago I made a posting informing you all of an
accident involving Jeanette Hudson a fellow researcher on the Boggs and
Church lists. I get almost daily updates on her condition and will pass
these along to anyone who sends me there email address.
Send your email address to dlchurch(a)bright.net
Please keep those prayers coming for Jeanette. She is holding her own as of
yesterday in an Atlanta hospital but is still very critical.
Thanks--Dave Church

That's very possible. Many families carried on the same names, unlike
my family, which chose new names for their children. Rita

>From the 15 Feb 1911 issue of the Orleans Republican, Orleans County, NY:
The wedding of Miss Sarah M. Church, daughter of Mrs. Stella Church of this
village, to Hills Nicholas of Gaines, took place at the home of the bride's
mother on Thursday afternoon, Rev. D. F. Pickard officiating. The bride was
attired in a gown of white silk with lace and silver bead trimmings, and
carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and lilies of the valley.
Minnie Church, a niece of the bride, and Elizabeth Nicholas, a niece of the
groom, were flower girls, Miss Mabelle Church, sister of the bride, played
the wedding march. Following the ceremony a supper was served to forty
relatives and friends. After a brief wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas will
reside in Gaines.
>From the 2 Nov 1910 issue of the Orleans Republican, Orleans County, NY.
Word has been received here of the death of Dan H. Church, a former Albion
boy, at Fort Meyer, Florida, on Oct 26th. Mr. Church was the son of former
county clerk, the late John P. Church, and a nephew of Judge Sanford E.
Church. He leaves a widow who resides in Akron, Ohio, and five sons, Edwin,
Dan Jr., George, Sanford and John. The body will be brought here for burial
at Mount Albion.
Note: I believe the funeral was held at the residence of Mrs. Helen Church
Cochrane with Rev. F. S. Dunham officiating.
In another article from the 9 Nov. 1910 issue of the Orleans Republican:
John P. Church of Montreal, Can., Edwin S. Church and Mrs. Dan H. Church of
Akron, O., Mrs. Dan H. Church, Jr., of Kansas City, Mo., and Sanford E.
Church of Chicago, Ill., were here to attend the funeral of the late Dan H.
Church.
>From the 20 Nov 1918 issue of Orleans Republican of Orleans County, NY:
George B. Church who entered into rest on October 19, 1918, was born in
Albion February 3, 1891. He was the son of the late C. J. and Estella C.
Church. On August 17, 1910 he was united in marriage to Mary L. Robinson.
Eight years ago they moved to Niagara Falls, N. Y., where he held a
responsible position as Employment Agent and Welfare Supervisor of the
Acheson Graphite Co. A year ago he transferred to the Buffalo division of
the same company where he resided at the time of his death.
He served on the Erie County Advisory Board, also a drive worker in the
Liberty Loan Campaign. He belonged to the Central Congregational Church of
which he was an active member. His winning personality and cherry manner won
him many friends. His wife and a small son, George B., Jr., four brothers
and three sisters are left to mourn his loss.
Funeral services were held at Forest Lawn Chapel Sunday morning at 10:30.
Interment in family lot at Mt. Albion. Rev. T. Hayes of Holley officiating.
Yet again we hope to meet him,
When the day of life is fled.
And in heaven with joys to greet him,
where no farewell tears are shed.
