Hey ya'll
I have finally gotten the new computer up and running. I also upgraded to FTW
version 9.0. I had been in the process of updating on a new software from a
couple of months ago. I finally had to go back to FTW. It is just so much
easier as it doesn't require going in and out of same screen/window so danged
much! So tonight and tomorrow I will be working on inputting new information
and then will be back.
If ya'll miss me- ya know where I am!

A man named Chunn raised my GG Grandfather who was
orphaned at age two in1769 at Alexandria {Fairfax Co} VA.
His given name may have been J Spencer Chunn. Or this
may have been hs son.
Mr Chunn traded goods from the ships in Baltimore through
VA, NC, And into eastern TN. My GGGrandfather whose
name was Baldwin Harle traveled with Chunn until he
was a teenager, he then settled Neas Morristown, TN. Family
lore says Chunn settled in Morristown later. I have
found a J. Spencer Chunn on the census rolls there.
Also they both belonged to the Beth Car Chapel Methodist
Church in White Pine,Tn which is 5-6 miles east of
morristown.
Would love to trace this family lin.Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks JBH

My name is James B Harle, MD. My gg grandfather, Baldwin
Harle was raised by a man named Chunn. Possibly
his name was J Spencer Chunn or this may have been
his son.
Baldwin was born in Fairfax Co, VA {Alexandria} 1767.
His parents died when he was two years old. The Chunn
who raised him was a merchant who met ships in Baltimore
and loaded goods from them then peddled them through
VA, NC, and into eastern TN.
It would be fabulous if I could locate a Chunn family who
had this lore in it..Please pass the word at your next
reunion. If you have a family newsletter please put it in it.
Thanks JBH
