Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi fellow CHUNN 'kizzins' and researchers!
Here's a site that I found by accident that shows you a document that
gives us proof that Sylvester CHUNN was in the state of KY in 1784. Copy and
paste the http to see the document.
Hugs, Nancy

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday season! Several people on the
list have requested a roll call. I don't think we have actually ever done an
official roll call, so let me tell you how to go about this. Let's see how
much we can help each other out.
Here is what you need to do.
1. In the Subject line please type: Roll Call, 12/2001
2. In the message include the full names, dates and locations (where they
came from and where they lived). If you don't know that information, maybe
you will find someone here that does. Some people will have MUCH more
information than others, that's okay-another opportunity for learning!
example:
John Daniel Killebrew, 1900-1954, GA, Fl., Al.
James Edward Killebrew 1933-1991, Fla.
etc.
3. DO NOT send attachments or gedcoms through the list. This must be done
with a private email. PLEASE comply with this request.
4. When you see posts that you are interested in following up on, contact the
person privately and thank them for helping you.
**If they are sending "hard copies" through the US Mail, you may want to
offer to pay for their service. After all, it does cost to make copies, mail,
time, etc. If they do ask for postage or a fee that is between you and them
privately.
5. If connections are made, share that wonderful news with the list.
6. Tell us about your BRICK WALL. Which person are you having problems
with, need help in finding their parents or where they came from? Be
specific! The more you are able to provide, the better your chances are of
obtaining the help you need. Do not feel inhibited about opening discussions
on list about problem areas. Someone out there may know a tiny piece of
information that may help.
7. Be patient. Some of us are new and don't know all the ropes and are
trying to learn. Remember if you don't intend to share your data, please
don't ask others to do so. Reciprocation is not just a courtesy, it is nearly
essential for the purpose of verifying our family lines.
8. Be courteous-doesn't that sound just like a mother??
9. Most importantly- HAVE FUN!!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Thank you,
Dianne Killebrew Johnson

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. You are right, Joseph was married twice. My grandfather was his child from Martha.
Write me and we'll talk soon.
