Oops, forgot to mention the marriage in Henrico Co. of Francis Cholmley to Sarah Huddlong that is mentioned in the Varina Parish court records from Oct. 12, 1692.

I found a few entries in the Henrico Co., Virginia court order deed book:
We, Hugh Jones and Robert Green of Varina Parish, Henrico Co., planters, witness that we see 1 acre of ground cleared and tened next to Horse Swamp and land of Francis Cholmly, and said Green helped in clearing it and saw corn growing, which he said Jones' son in law gathered and delivered to said Cholmly. Signed: Hugh Jones, Rob't Green. February 1, 1693.
Fra. Cholmly was witness to inventory of Thomas Charles. April 7, 1694.
April 9, 1704 - William Edwards, son of William Edwards, late of James City Co., dec'd gent, to Francis Cholmly of Henrico Co, planter, in consideration of Cholmly's clearing, sealing and saving a patent in Henrico Co dated 23 Oct 1690, granted to William Edwards, father of said William, for 1626 acres, sells to Cholmly part of this patent, bounded by Snacco Creek, Gilly's Creek, Gilly's Line, 100 acres. Recorded June 1, 1704.
A William Cholmondeley witnesses a few deeds on May 1, 1708.
Francis Cholmly was a witness to the will of Richard Farr in 1718.
In the April 1722 Court, there was a deed from Francis Chumney to Richard Holland.
A William Chumney witnessed a deed on Dec. 17, 1735.
A Francis Chumbley, and a John Chumbley owned land in 1745.
So, has anyone researched this Francis Cholmly/Cholmondeley/Chumley? Anyone have family bible records, or a will?

I found 3 entries in the Goochland County, Virginia Court Orders:
July 1730 Court - The action of trespass on the case between Edward Scott, pl't, and William Chumley, defend't, is dismist. The pl't not prosecuting the same.
September 1735 Court - William Randolph, Jun'r, exhibits an account against William Chumley and makes oath that the balance thereof being three pounds five shillings and three pence curr't money is justly due to him from the said Chumley and that he never received any satisfaction for the same.
November 19, 1735 Court - On the pet. of William Randolph, Jr, against William Chumley, the pet'r having formerly proved his acct and the deft. failing to appear, judgement is granted him against the deft. for 3 pounds 5 shillings and 3 pence and costs.
And, I found in the Goochland County Tithes:
William Cholmondly, Southam Parish, June 10, 1747
Richard Chumbley, June 18, 1749
So, has anyone researched William Chumley, born c1700? Anyone have a will, or bible records? Is William the father of Richard Chumley, who was married to Grace Milam in 1756 in Goochland?
