Yes this J. C. Chumley could be a Jack or even called Jack.
It is worth doing some follow up researching to see if this is the correct family.
As I said I have the older generations but I pretty much stop at the younger generations unless they are in my most direct lines.
But I have this J. C. Chumley b. ca 1928 per the 1930 cen. records.

This is the cen record that I have. Have not been able to connect this person to our lines. There were a few other Chumley lines in KY I cannot connect to.
Hope this helps. If anything you can look up the cen. records.
Remember there were two different spellings and some of the time related. For whatever the reason some dropped the b from the name.
Some of ours also went by call names and did not use there full names so this might also be your problem.

So as you see I have everyone backward but not forward.
James Robert Chumbley & Cora Crutchfied did not have a son Jack but had an only son named Ward. He could have been called Jack. But these children were not born in that time peroid.
James Robert married Dessie Greer second and had two children.
Could you be talking grandchildren?

Not sure if we are talking about the same family or not.
I only have one Jack Chumbley in my data base which is Jack W. Chumbley b. 1924 son of George Chumbley and Sue Langford. This one was more than likely b. in Texas.
I have a Jack Chumley b. abt 1911 Texas, son of Herman Chumley and Lucinda. Not sure of this ones family line. Found them in cen. records in KY and son was b. Texas.
Hope this helps
