Ms. Flyte (and other Chumley researchers):
Thanks for the information. It added to my knowledge of the Chumleys.
I am seeking clarification of the parents and siblings of C. L. Chumley, Sr., prominent Knoxville, TN surgeon and father of Charles Lawrence Jr. (1927-1900) and John Chumley (1928-1984).
John became a very good artist with exhibits in many art museums and the American Embassy in Moscow. He lived and painted many scenes in the Valley of Virginia. My website
www.fountaincitytnhistory.info) has a biography of John with some information on his father. It also includes his magnificent painting of Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Montains National Park.
Does anyone have Charles Lawrence Sr.'s parents and siblings? Louis Franklin Chumley (1808-????) may have been a great-grandparent.
Additional information welcome!
