Nell this is what I can find on this family quickly. If any of your
Maury Co., Chumley's went to Alab. for I suspect that Joseph and Belle
might have married in Alab. and than came to Texas this might be part of
yours. You will notice that they had children after the 1880 cen. and
this is the 1900 cen. and according to this cen record they married ca
1886-1887. I have included the 1910-19
Looks like Joseph might has been a Joseph William Chumley.
I am not at this time familiar with this line of Chumley.

Today, I went to the funeral home after reading the daily paper. I got the following information:
Funeral services for Raymond Farrell Chumley will be Saturday in Greenville, Texas.
He was the son of Raymond Francis Chumley and Lillie Maude Steele.
He was born in Greenville, Texas on Nov. 27, 1930.
I do know that he was a relative of Sarah Elizabeth Chumley Thomason, who was born in Maury County, Tenn
in 1844, married Joseph Alexander Thomason, and is buried in McWright Cemetery, Hunt County, TX
I am not listing the survivors, but I have them including some cousins living here in Hunt County.
