Just for fun, I thought you might be interested in knowing that "our family" (well, somewhare back there) is represented at the royal wedding tomorrow. We are even listed ahead of all politicians.
After listing members of the British and Foreign Royal Families are listed, there WE are.

The Marquess of Cholmondeley
The Lord and Lady Luce, The Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Household
The Lord and Lady Vestey, Master of the Horse

All this information is posted at http://www.princeofwales.gov.uk/news/index.php.
I wish you all good health,

To those on the list who are descendants of John Chumbley [son of Robert & Elizabeth (Ford) Chumley] line, the Sampson & Sarah (Lingar) Goodman line, it is with great sadness that I write of the death of one of our cousins, Juanita (Wise) Martin. She died 25 February 2005 at the Mulberry Manor Nursing Home in Stephenville, TX, and was interred 28 February at Erath Gardens of Memory in Stephenville.
Juanita was a gr granddaughter of Edwin McMasters & America (Chumbley) Goodman, granddaughter of Oliver Symphronious & Cora Alice (Goodman) Goodman, and daughter of Rolla & Edith Elizabeth (Goodman) Wise. Edith was the family member of this branch who first had the great desire to research the Chumbley, Goodman & Lingar families and she passed this interest on to Juanita. Juanita and I were 2nd cousins, but I did not know of her until the middle-late 1980s. When I contacted her, she was the most generous and helpful person and so willing to share her information with me. She was still actively researching at the time. A few years ago I posted some of Juanita's notes/information on the Chumbley list. When I spoke to her by phone in late October and right before Christmas, she was still asking questions and giving me her theories about some of the stumbling blocks in our family research.
Even if you never had the chance to meet this very sweet and humble lady, some of her research may very well have touched yours. As her daughter said in her letter to me "...she must be rejicing in seeing her sister, Connie, Edith and Rolla [her parents], and all the Goodmans and Chumbleys. What a family reunion they must be having!"
