The early name was sometimes mispelled to read Crumley. So check this
spelling also. Plenty of records in Spartenburg, S. C. on this family.

Surname: Chumley
-------------------------
My cousins and I are trying to locateinfo on a John Chumley, circa 1790
or so. He had a son named Larkin C. Chumley in 1814 in Virginia. We have
been able to trace Larkin to present - but not his father, John.
Any help?
