Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Sharon, Myfamily .com has a Chumley page and there are people on there who
have the same line as you. Surely they will give you some information. If
not I'll try to find the information for you.

Could someone verify the birthdate of the Mariah Chumley/Chumbley who
was a daughter of William Baxter Chumley and Charlotte Gilbreath?
My ancestor Mariah Chumbley/Chumley was born in 1804, d.1896 GA, m. Wm.
B. Wofford. I've been told she was a daughter of Wm. Baxter "Buck"
Chumley and Charlotte Gilbreath. However, someone has said that the
dau. Mariah of that couple was born in 1782. If that is correct, then
that is not my ancestor Mariah, as my ancestor was definitely born in
1804 (per her headstone and Bible records).

Great idea. I'd love to, but it's my understanding a person has to be
officially "invited" by a current member of a surname page on
myfamily.com in order to access it. Are you a member? If so, please do
send me an invitation from that site.
Thanks,
Sharon

Sharon,
There is a site called the Virtual Cemetery you could try. The URL is www.genealogy.com/vcem_welcome.html
It's a great site that allows you to both search for your ancestors as well as post your pictures. Its a good one to bookmark for future reference.

Thank you for sending me info about the Tenn. Chumleys. I don't think they
are the line I am trying to research. Appreciate the answer.

Shiela,
Thank you for responding to my query. Do you have the address of the website
where I might find the Charles Ballard & Delina (Carroll) Chumbley's line?
Carol
The genealogy of Charles Ballard Chumley is online and goes back to Robert and
Betsy Ford Chumley. many people are working on this family.
