I realize this is an older post, the e-mail address does not seem to work for me to respond so I am responding here:
We are researching the same line. Your Grandfather Claude Chubb and my husband's Grandmother Hazel Fern Chubb were sister and brother.
William Chubb your great grandfather was the son of John Chubb and Helena Infield Chubb. You can find them in the 1880 U.S. Census for Monore, Coshocton, Ohio under the name John CHUB. The census is available at www.familysearch.org
I have just started working on this line of our tree. I can give you a little more on their children if you are interested and more on Helena. I would be interested in any information you have found.
Sincerely, Deronda Phipps

I don't know of Thomas CHUBB personally, but I am familiour with Jerome, Arizona. Jerome is considered a "ghost town" although it's got some pretty solid citizens. There still is a town of Jerome. Jerome once was the site of a couple of copper mines. I think the mines closed some time before World War II. There is a historical society there that was very helpful to me when I visit and they have (had?) a nice newsletter.
Prescott, AZ is the biggest town near Jerome and they have a Genealogical Society. You can write them at:
No. AZ Genealogical Society
P.O. Box 695
Prescott, AZ 86302-0695
Hope this helps a little.

Looking for grandmothers father grave or any info. She is in poor health and her last wish is to visit her fathers grave. He left shortly after she was born and has never heard or seen him in 80 years. They lived in Greenlee county Arizona. I believe the city was Morenci. It is also believed he worked the mines after he returned from WWI. Any help would be a nothing short of a miracle. Please help. Thank You. jborozco(a)aol.com
