Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Linda,
Don't discount Creswell or Cresswell either. I have similar variants
among brothers and sisters in my family only 3 generations ago.

My Mother was not from the Mississippi area --
she grew up in Wayne Co, KY.
Her Father, Marion Chriswell maintained the "ch" spelling
but some of Mom's brothers dropped the "h" in
their early years of growing up - why I don't know.

I have come across very few who spell their last name with a CH like I do. I am originally from mississippi, in the north central area of the state. Any mississippi connections?
