Finally found my grandfather's grandfather - Edwin Christy born in 1841 in Denmark and died in Philadelphia in 1893. He had two wives first pretty sure was Elizabeth born in England they had James 1866-1918 and Amy 1869 she married a Jerry Pancoast in New Jersey.Edwin's second wife Fanny Garner 1847 -1926 they had Robert Garner Christy he died in 1941.When trying to find this Edwin the reason I ran into trouble was they [Edwin, Elizabeth, James and Amy] are listed under the last name of Reynolds. Why? I have pretty much resigned myself to anything earlier on him being a permanent brick wall but would love to know if there were any children from the Pancoast union or from the Robert Christy marriage to Florence Weiss.
Thank you
