Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Also looking for clarification of a historical religous nature. Has the Christy line been primarily protestant?Namely, was James his father Claudius Protestant? It would fit in the timeline of Scotch-Irish Immigration of the 18th century, predating the primarily Irish Catholic immigration of the 19th century. This would likely narrow the origin point to Ulster.

Jordan Christy here, your nephew Gayle! Thanks to all of you for doing the legwork. I'm eagerly awaiting an origin for James Christys father in Ireland, mostly as an excuse to go on vacation in Ireland to do some more research.
