Thomas Christy is the husband of my great grand aunt. The 1900 census lists his father's place of birth as Michigan, his mother's as Ireland. I know that doesn't help much! But I also have a photograph of Thomas and Sarah's daughter--it's either Hester Jean or Sadie L. Both names are written on the back. Please contact me if you'd like to see it.
