Hi Connie:
I wasn't able to find any information from your link that says there was any William Christy who was a son of Julius and Agatha Christy as you allege in your posted message. Nor do I understand the significance of your Margaret A. Christy with all the question marks after her name. I believe your information about who William's parents were may be erroneous. Do you have anything else to add?
My database has the data for Julius and Agatha's eleven children, but no mention of any William. That same database contains two letters which are the only known records of Julius Christy's Childhood. The letters were written by sons of Julius in December of 1844. They were reminiscing as they wrote to a nephew, (the nephew was James C. Christy, a son of Ambrose Christy) of their father's early days. Again no reference to your William Christy.
My database also has a complete genealogy book of six generations of Julius and Agatha's descendants, but again nothing to indicate there was a son named William.
If you can ever find some solid evidence with reliable sources to show that Julius and Agatha did have a son William perhaps you could post that information on these message boards. There may be others who would appreciate your additional information.
Thank you Connie!
Your friend, Jim

Greetings Connie:
Do you have any information/sources about William Christy whom you say is a son of Julius Christy and Agatha Barnett? Do you know when and where he was born? Do you have the names and/or dates and/or places of birth for any of Julius' other children? Do you know if Julius may have been married a second time and had a William from that marriage? I do not have a William as a child of Julius and Agatha.
Thank you Connie!
Your friend, Jim

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. But genealogists never rest!
There would seem to be something of a mystery involving Merrill E. Christy (abt 1889--1974) (see below). Merrill is the youngest son of Thomas J. Christy and Mary F. Meyer and a 2 X great grandson of Alexander Negley of Pittsburgh.
In the 1920 census, he is married to Elsie ( b abt 1896) with two children, Albert, aged 2; and Merrill, Jr., aged 1).
In the the 30 census, he is listed with a wife by the name of Essie (b. 1902) with three children: Jack, aged 11; Thomas, aged 10; and Sherly, aged 1. The 1930 census suggests that Merrill and Essie were married in 1917 when Merrill was 25 and Essie was 15.
To make matters even more confusing, ANCESTRY.COM's "One World Tree" project includes a tree that gives Merrill a first wife Essie C. Beck, b. 1901. Merrill and Essie are assigned there children as shown in the 1930 census. But Merrill is also assigned a second wife with the last name of Keller, with whom he had a female child.
QUESTIONS: Could Elsie R. Christy (age 24 in 1920) and Essie C. Christy (age 28 in 1930) be the same person? Could Albert and Merrill in 1920 be Jack and Thomas in 1930?
Can anyone add anything about the wife with the last name of Keller listed in "One World Tree"?
Willing to share information.
