The family of Rev Van Buren Christy (12 Jan 1841 - 7 Jul 1923) and Susan M Welty Christy (Sep 1850 - 17 Aug 1925, my ggfather's sister) settled in Jefferson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, in or near the present town of Miamisburg. Of their six children, four were daughters...and all four daughters died unmarried, having lived together communally all their lives! Their names are Blanche E Christy (20 Aug 1871 - 8 Nov 1968), Elizabeth Barbara Christy (3 Jun 1873 - 21 Dec 1968), Mary Welty Christy (Nov 1880 - 15 May 1973) and Irene R Christy (Oct 1890 - 23 Dec 1983). There was also a brother who went to Minneapolis as a Lutheran minister, emulating his father. Rev V B Christy served his Lutheran congregation in Montgomery County for over three decades. I suspect they're buried at Hill Grove Cemetery in a family lot, but the person who does queries for the local historical society has closed their e-mail box. Can someone do a lookup and let me know if/where the family !
lot is? Will also post to the geographic board.
