Looking for info on the William & Margaret (Homer) Christy family who resided in Williams Co., ND, in late 1890's and early 1900's. They had a place near Grinnell Landing. They supposedly had 12 children, have names of eight: Mary Minnie, Samuel, William, Lizzie, Pansy, Maggie, Eva, and George D. I'm especially interested in Mary Minnie Christy who married my relative, Henry "Hank" Shufelt, in 1894 in Valley Co., MT. They had a daughter, Isabelle Shufelt, born March 1895 in MT. Mary Minnie Christy was born Oct 1877 in Ireland. Her father, William Christy, was born Apr 1839 in NY and her mother, Margaret "Maggie" Homer, was born May 1853 in Ireland, according to the 1900 Williams Co., ND, Federal Census. Hank Shufelt was killed in Williams Co., ND, in 1898. I find Minnie (Christy) Shufelt, with daughter Isabelle, listed in 1900 census as a widow, occupation restaurant keeper. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

Upon looking at the Census again, Ida and Roy are not the children, but the siblings of Edward Lee (and also Thomas Christy, probably). Ida was born ~1900-1901, Roy was born 05/07/1913 (based on SSDI)

Here's the info I've gathered in the past day:
According to census documents, Thomas Christy (born 06/30/1882) had a mother named Esther (b. ~1866), and he married Mary A Mudge (who already had an extensive family tree on this site and others). They had 6 children: John (b. ~1912), Guineviere(sp?, b.. 1913), Blaine C. (b. ~1914, moved to Carson City, MI), Hazel (b. ~1916, married into Delmotte's, last known in Armada, MI), Osborne W. (b. ~12/1919, moved to Everett, WA), and Ralph Thomas (8/29/1917-11/18/1997, moved to Conneaut, OH). Thomas had at least one brother (Edward Lee Christy 02/20/1898-03/1981).
When Ralph was 2, his mother Mary A Mudge died. It appears that sometime after that (between 1920 and 1930), Thomas's son John started living with his uncle Edward Lee Christy. By 1930, their mother Esther was living with Edward Lee Christy.
Edward Lee's children were Ida and Roy.
