Have JPG of Declaration of Minors of Thomas W. Whitson, Scott Co, IN by Thomas Price.
Mother of children was widow of Thomas W. Whitson, maiden name Christy; married Thomas Price.
Write privately for copy, if interested ...
:)
My ancestors start with M. E. Christy and wife WRIGHT who had lots of children but one was my great grandfather, GEORGE WRIGHT CHRISTY b: in PA in 1886 who married MARTHA STEPHENS dau of TOM STEPHENS, also of PA.
GEORGE CHRISTY moved with his wife MARTHA and several kids to Sumner Ill. Together they had a total of 14 children. I can list all of them but hate to do it unless someone out there has the same ancestors. Joann H. Coleman

Curtis, if you're still contributing, I thought I had a family for my Hiram Christy, but that turned out to be Hiram Sam, from In and Il, who had a family in IL at the time mine is on census in AR. He claimed to have been b in St. Louis, MO. In 1880 he said parents were from GA, like Malissa's. Then she died. On the 1910 or 1920 census, he said they were from Germany and spoke German. Malissa was Cherokee, at least 1/2. He farmed out the son who looked Cherokee and kept the son that didn't. He told a lot of fibs, apparently. It seems I'm back at square one on him. The census info and family records indicate he was b ca 1847 and died ca 1840, having been married at least 3 times: (1) Margarett Malissa Prince, ca 1870, (2) Georgianna Pritchard, and (3) Mrs. Rosalee Baggett.
I hope you or anybody has something on this old stinker!

Hi. I would love to have names and dates of Samuel Christy and Elinor Sandars children. I have only the following names, but no dates: Eliza Christy;, Elizabeth Christy, George Christy, Sarah Christy and William Christy. Do you have information on Samuel Christy's parents and grandparents? My information is very sketchy and unverified. Would love to share. Thank you, LaVern andrewsl(a)inreach.com

Subject: Posting Interests- CHRISTIE, SHERRET in Alexandria, Bonhill area
Good day everyone,
I would just like to post my Dunbartonshire interests.
I'm searching for the family of John CHRISTIE and his wife Ann(ie) SHERRET.
I know the couple had at least one child- a son also named John- who was
the informant for both of his parents' death registrations in 1939.
John and Ann lived at 50 Wilson Street in Alexandria at the time of their
deaths (6 months apart).
At the time of their marriage (1895 in Angus county), John was a sergeant
in the 22nd Battery of the Royal Field Artillery, and his usual residence
was Nasirblad, Bombay, India. At the time of his death, he was a retired
Commissionaire.
I do have information on parents for both John and Ann, but no information
currently on any children, including John the son.
If this rings any bells, or anyone can suggest anything, please feel free
to contact me!
