Dear Diana and Deborah,
My what a lot to digest here. Where to start? I find the information on William Christy (b. before 1800-?) and Hannah Christy and Daniel Christy very interesting.
I strongly suspect that John A Christy (1847-1925), spouse of Sarah L. Partlow, (1844-1923) and George William Christy were brothers. The parents of John and George William are George William Christy (b. around 1820) and Martha Miles Christy. I will have to check out the 1850 census and see if anything can be found on them. I can check out the 1880 census here online so I will see what Christy information I can find. Would be interesting to find out who Harriet Christy's parents were. I will have to check your emails Diana to see which George Washington Partlow this is.
Just to make this even more fun, as in pull your hair out by the roots in aggreviating of trying to sort this out, Deborah, the Daniel Christy who married Mary Douglass in Meigs County, Ohio. I am descended from Douglas family through my great-great-grandmother Martha Douglas (1846-1906) whose daughter Mary Elizabeth Van Nest married into the Partlow family with her marriage to Elmer E. Partlow. The Douglas family I am related to first came to Athens Co., Ohio from VIrginia.
Please everyone keep in touch as we sort this out.

Hello
George Washington Partlow married Harriet Lurania Christy after his wife Catherine Partlow died. George and Harriet (Lurania) married 10.18.1863. Living with them on the 1870 census are the following Christy children - Robert 17, William 15, Charles 13, and Eliza 8.
I believe that William was the George William that married Elizabeth Partlow, and Charles married Mary Young, daughter of Catherine Partlow and James Young. There were other Christy/Young marriages as well. Ida Cgristy married George W Young, and Ransler Christy married Kathryn Christy.
Does anyone know if these Christy's were all related?
Thanks Diana
